Nicole Mercer
BSM Director
Nicole received her Master’s Degree in Child Development from Florida State University and has over 12 years experience in the field of Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Mercer began her career teaching in preschool for 8 years, then moved on to coordinating developmental assessments for 3 and 4-year-old children in Orlando, FL. Prior to becoming Director of Beginning Steps Ministry, Mrs. Mercer served as an Early Childhood Mentor to childcare centers in Leon County as part of the Knight Foundation Quality Child Care Initiative with FSU’s Center for Prevention and Early Intervention Policy.

Our teachers are Christian teachers who are well trained and experienced in the field of early childhood and/or child development. They are dedicated to providing young children with safe, nurturing learning environments. BSM teachers believe parents are partners in creating classroom environments filled with love, trust, and consideration.
