Missions

We believe that one of the ways God wants us to share the Love of Christ is by serving folks here in Tallahassee as well as reaching beyond Tallahassee to others around the world.

Locally:
Our church is currently carrying out this mission through several partnerships with local organizations as well as individual members and/or groups like Sunday School classes working together to make a difference in our community.  We also, of course, distribute food twice monthly through our food pantry ministry called Manna.

Globally:
In order to build God’s Kingdom around the world as well as locally, we have two different partnerships with believers in Ethiopia.  One is with IMB Missionaries that live in the capital, Addis Ababa.  We pray for them and support them in many ways.  The other partnership is through the Church to Church Connect program at Compassion International.  We are partnered with the Kore Berhane Wongel Baptist Church also in Addis Ababa.  We correspond and pray for each other and are looking for the Holy Spirit to lead us as we continue in both of these partnerships.

Upcoming Opportunities:

• We have several members that are participating in short-term mission projects in the near future including places like Haiti, Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, Ethiopia, and Dubai.
• We are sending a team to Miami in June to partner with Touching Miami with Love for the week.
• Oasis 2010 is coming soon, we have 3 members participating in this important event for our missionaries.

Mission Funding Applications
Because of our church’s generous contributions to the Ready Campaign over the last three years, we have a fund set aside specifically to aid us as we seek to live out our mission in the world.  Some of these funds are available to assist our membership with mission projects.  Follow the links below for guidelines and application information.
